We visit projects of Quaker Bolivia Link (qbl.org) in rural communities that tourists never see, and travel through some of the world’s most dramatic scenery- a photographer’s paradise. We meet with Friends who are part of the world’s third largest population of Quakers. We learn about the dramatic changes being made by the government of Evo Morales, that are ending five centuries of oppression and virtual apartheid. We learn about the traditional Andean values that inspire this government— the ideals of “living well”, as opposed to “living better”. We visit sites of a culture older than the Inca Empire, including Tiwanaku and the Island of the Sun.
